Currently touring in support of ‘I Just Don’t Deserve To Be Loved’, which was released in early April through Scylla Records – An EP inspired by the passing of Luke’s mother. Rainford’s music also carries a strong message towards positive mental health attitudes, anti-prejudice, and sexual equality.

“I’m often told that my songs have inspired someone on their path and it’s a fantastic feeling knowing that I’ve helped them in some way.

“The new EP is about losing someone, but also it’s much deeper than that. It’s a tough record, filled with guilt and how I handled my mental health. When my mum died, I stayed away for a while. There’s no set way to deal with grief.

“I want to keep spreading the message of positive mental health attitudes through my music and standing against any form of prejudice. It’s very important to me and something that I’m extremely vocal about.”

Drawing influences from the likes of Aaron West & The Roaring Twenties, The Front Bottoms and Jimmy Eat World, the emo influence running through Rainsford’s music is clear to see.

The six tracks of ‘I Just Don’t Deserve To Be Loved’ are deep, dark, resentful and honest, whilst a rumbling of positivity remains throughout. Rainsford’s tales of loss and grief, will wrap you up in a relatable blanket of emotion and hold you in tight.

‘I Just Don’t Deserve To Be Loved’ is out now and available on 12″ vinyl and through all usual digital retailers.
