Glasswerk Add New Venue To Its Portfolio In Liverpool

UK-based national concert promoters Glasswerk are thrilled to announce that they have added a new venue, Grand Central Hall in Liverpool, to the family of independent venues that they programme the calendar of events for.

The 1150 capacity venue is a beautiful Art Deco-style hall, and has been lovingly restored and refurbished as part of the whole building’s renovation, which now includes a food bazaar, two bars, and a hotel.

The refurbished development opened this summer 2018, retaining the ‘Barcelona’ Gaudi style decor in the main bar and food hall, and the grand, Art Deco style in the main concert hall. As well as the legendary in-house organ, the venue also reputedly has the largest projector screen outside of Wembley Arena.

Commenting on the news, Head Promoter for Glasswerk, Mat Ong, said:

“Grand Central Hall is a beautiful building that had been left unkempt for far too long. I was eager to see what the refurb was like inside, and I was blown away by it. The hall was purpose built for great acoustics and sight lines. Now the whole site offers great customer service with the accompanying food hall and different bars, and it’s a great venue for gig goers to come for a night out.

“Facilities for artists and crew are fantastic in the backstage area, and the production and load in will be easier than most venues of this size and style. I am looking forward to getting stuck in and booking some events in here!”

Operations Director for Grand Central, Ryan Edwards, commented:

“After a massive renovation to Grand Central Hall we are excited to invite Glasswerk into the business, and see the main hall being used for live music, cinema and wedding events.”
