The Wombats duo announce new side-project, Sunship Balloon
Sunship Balloon is a psychedelic dream alt pop project from Dan and Tord (The Wombats, Imitating Aeroplanes and Dan The Man). They have been making music together for 15 years, without sharing any of it. Both of their hard drives inevitably became filled with song ideas and the duo wanted to provide a home for all the ideas they’d amassed over the years.
Cue Sunship Balloon. Their first EP is made up of 5 songs written and produced by Dan and Tord, and mixed by the wonderful John Congleton (St. Vincent, Alvvays). They are currently working on their debut album.
