Lara Smiles shares video for her soothing, spectral torch song ‘Oh How’…

Lara Smiles has shared the new video for ‘Oh How’, the latest single from her ‘All For You’ album.

Smiles embarked on a solo career after working as a backing singer with such luminaries as Jah Wobble, Steve Hillage and The Orb’s Alex Paterson, not to mention a long standing gig (in the sky) with the Australian Pink Floyd.  Her debut album ‘All For You’ is about as varied as they come, taking everything from the funk-driven dancefloor stormer that is the title track to the electronic meets rock hybrid of ’Zombie’.

This latest single is no exception either, shining a light on yet another angle of this multi-faceted performer, with an exceedingly tender, almost spectral folkiness to its sound, as Lara implores us to “let go of pain” accompanies only by the chiming of her Jeff Buckley-esque guitar tones.   “‘Oh How’ is like a calming mantra for me,” says Smiles, “it was written to calm myself and the listener from any anxieties due to the difficult times we face…”  Just what the doctor ordered at the moment, we have to agree.
