Goo Goo Dolls have debuted a brand-new lyric video for their cover rendition of Tom Petty’s holiday classic “Christmas All Over Again“. Filled with an array of retro home video footage, the piece elicits nostalgic memories of the Christmas season.
This follows their recently released lyric video for ‘Hark! The Herald Angels Sing’ which reminisces about Christmas in New York City, with picturesque winter scenes and yuletide decorations adorning the city.
“Christmas All Over Again” & “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” are featured on the band’s first-ever festive album It’s Christmas All Over (Warner Records), available now via all digital streaming platforms HERE. The record is packed with iconic songs such as “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” “Let It Snow” and a brand-new original track “This Is Christmas.” All three songs currently rank in the top 40 at AC radio in the USA.
The band is also offering exclusive merch bundles including a red vinyl LP, a Goo Goo Dolls Crosley record player and additional limited-edition items that make for perfect gifts this season. For more information, please visit the band’s website HERE.
Last week the band’s classic hit ‘Iris‘ was given an airing by Phoebe Bridgers and Maggie Rogers – making good on a promise by Bridgers to cover the song if Trump was defeated. Although only on Bandcamp for 24 hours it sold over 28K downloads with all proceeds going to the Fair Fight organization. The track is no longer available to purchase or stream, but a snippet can be heard via Goo Goo Dolls’ Facebook page.
On December 12th, Goo Goo Dolls will perform the first-ever Augmented Reality Movie Musical “It’s Christmas All Over” in partnership with the live-streaming music platform FanTracks. Produced and directed by Barry Summers, the band will perform festive tracks from It’s Christmas All Over for the very first time. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
