WRITTEN BY WOLVES release new track ‘Secrets’ ft. Sonny Sandoval

New Zealand’s highest streaming rock band, Written By Wolves, have released new track ‘Secrets’ featuring Sonny Sandoval (P.O.D.) alongside an epic thought-provoking music video, also featuring Sandoval. ‘Secrets’ is the fourth track to be released from the band’s new EP ‘The Collab Project’ which is out now.

Vocalist Michael Murphy says of the new track, “Sonny was one of my teenage heroes growing up. I listened to the ‘Satellite’ album every day as a teenager, in fact I’m pretty sure my high school band even covered ‘Alive’. I’m not sure I’ll ever forget the first reply from Sonny saying he loved what we were doing and was all in for the project. The passion and power that he brings to everything he does is phenomenal and his voice is iconic. He is an absolute legend and we are still pinching ourselves that he is part of The Collab Project!”

The new EP, out now, is a collection of re-imagined collaborations of tracks from the band’s debut album ‘Secrets‘, released in late 2019. In addition to Sandoval, Trenton Woodley (Hands Like Houses), Kellin Quinn (Sleeping With Sirens), and others have collaborated on tracks for the EP.

Murphy explains in this video that “The Collab Project is an on-going initiative to try and spread awareness, and to remind our fans and our followers, that no matter what they are going through, no matter what mental health struggles or demons they are going through right now, they don’t have to do it alone and they don’t have to deal with it on their own.” He adds, “The aim is to help normalise talking about our mental health issues and to help to breakdown the stigma attached to mental health.” 

He adds, “We are so proud of ‘The Collab Project’ and we are incredibly excited to have it out in the world. With any release there is a huge sense of nervousness and trepidation that comes with it, but, with this one that feeling is even more amplified. So many people have contributed, not just their voices, but their stories and we will never be able to thank them enough for that. This has become a real passion project for us and we hope it can mean as much to our fans as it does to us.”
