‘In Your Head’ embodies the emotive and freeing energy that bubbles throughout Death Blooms’ heavy AF debut album ‘Life Is Pain’, which was released last week via Adventure Cat Records. Watch the newly-released music video now. Says Death Blooms instigator and vocalist Paul Barrow: “We all have that voice in our heads that makes us doubt ourselves. Even if it’s not a voice, it’s a feeling – a sense of imposter syndrome. Sometimes, everything we do seems useless and we blame ourselves for it, but that just shouldn’t be the case. Everyone goes through this and just because it’s in your head, doesn’t mean that it’s real.”
Recent singles from Death Blooms have received some vehement support from new music champion Jack Saunders, who’s been playing tracks from the band on his BBC Radio 1 Future Artists show. Death Blooms were also nominated for Best UK Breakthrough Band at this year’s Heavy Music Awards.
In a live music frenzy, now that the world has opened up, Death Blooms hit the ground moshing in 2021 with an incendiary festival-opening performance at the landmark Download Pilot. Recent single ‘Shut Up’, which also features on the record, was their opener and the band received a rapturous response from all assembled. Death Blooms have also toured with Blood Youth and played some shows with Skindred. They’re currently on the road supporting Trash Boat, bringing some much-needed catharsis to fans across the country, and were also recently announced on the line-up for Download Festival 2022.
