KENDAL CALLING announces 2022 return with STEREOPHONICS, THE STREETS, SUPERGRASS and over 100 more names!

It’s been a long time coming, but arguably the nation’s most beloved festival Kendal Calling has announced its grand return to the fields in July 2022 – bringing together an unmistakable blend of huge headline moments, incredible new talent, unrivalled entertainment for all ages and much more to Lowther Deer Park once again!

Regularly acclaimed as one of the best festivals in the UK, Kendal Calling has become a true emblem of the complete festival experience. Of heading to the front and meeting friends new and old, all whilst catching some of your favourite bands tear apart blistering set after blistering set. Basking in a weekend in one of the most picturesque festival sites in the country, before heading into The Woodlands to find what surprises await. Over the course of nearly 15 years, Kendal Calling has been a welcoming invite into an atmosphere full of countless highlights and most importantly – fun. 2022’s return looks set to be no different, with the first names and details pointing to a landmark year that can’t be refused.

Stereophonics sit as one of the UK’s most successful bands of the past 25 years, scoring number one after number one with their ready-made anthems and euphoric live shows. Led by Kelly Jones, one of the great British songwriters, their headline turn in 2017 stands as one of the greatest in the festival’s history – and with hotly anticipated new album ‘Oochya!’ set for release on March 4th 2022 and new single ‘Do Ya Feel My Love?’ standing as an emerging anthem and fan favourite for the band, Stereophonics were the first band to call to soundtrack Kendal Calling’s 15th birthday celebrations, even if it’s slightly delayed…

Continuing their rich reunion run that has brought back glorious memories of one of the UK’s most delightfully entertaining bands, Supergrass take their rightful place at the top of the bill at Kendal Calling 2022. With an eclectic mix of rapturous singalong favourites at their disposal, including the likes of ‘Alright’, ‘Pumping On Your Stereo’ and ‘Moving’ to name but a few – expect their headline moment to be a euphoric set of beaming smiles and fun that only Supergrass can master.

Kicking things off on Thursday evening is the celebratory Hacienda Classical, whose reinterpretations of some of the era’s most iconic electronic cuts have become a must-see live show. Led by the famous superclub’s own Graeme Park, the jaw-dropping homage to the sounds and cultural influence of The Hacienda spans some of electronic music’s most iconic tracks, with 2022 marking 40 years since the famous club first opened its doors! It’s a guarantee that Lowther Deer Park will be turned into a glorious disco ball of energy once Hacienda Classical takes the stage. Guaranteed to capture a summer highlight at every turn, Kendal Calling once again delivers with a lineup filled to the brim with festival-memory potential. No birthday party is complete without Craig David presents TS5, serving up a cocktail of big beats and dancefloor hits like nobody else can. Expect choice cuts from his chart-topping success, as one of the UK’s brightest young artists, takes that step up in prime fashion. Sizzling indie kingpins The Vaccines return to Kendal Calling, having served up a landmark moment back in 2015 with their flaming set of indie bangers. With recent album ‘Back In Love City’ shining as their most ambitious to date, expect Kendal Calling to fall into their arms in a matter of moments when they take the stage. A true festival favourite, Amy Macdonald heads to Lowther Deer Park next July with cuts like ‘This Is The Life’ and ‘Mr Rock & Roll’ sitting as timeless gems that’ll go down a treat at Kendal Calling, while fresh from their giant UK headline tour (which saw them headline London’s famed Brixton Academy), Sea Girls will bring their full-throttle indie hits to Kendal Calling’s 2022 return. With a vast number of 2020 ticketholders choosing to carry over their tickets to 2022, a very limited number of weekend tickets are now on sale, with fans encouraged to grab their place at the biggest festival party of the summer ASAP to avoid disappointment.
