FLOW FESTIVAL HELSINKI announces JAMIE XX, JARV IS… and many more

Revered and renowned as one of the most acclaimed festivals in Europe, Flow Festival Helsinki is firmly cementing its reputation as one of the festival world’s must-visit celebrations – with even more names joining its incredible 2022 programme for an eclectic and essential European festival experience this summer.

Continuing to lead the way when it comes to diverse and forward-thinking programming, Flow Festival Helsinki’s new additions add to the sheer variety on display as the Finnish festival returns after what will be three years away. Joining the lineup today is one of modern music culture’s most influential creators in Jamie xx. Since emerging as part of The xx in the late 00s, his creative and unique production flair has stood him apart from the rest, continuing to innovate and blaze a trail for modern electronica not only with his own solo endeavours but his work with the band and others. A jaw-dropping show that has seen him headline festivals across the globe – Flow Festival Helsinki feels like the perfect setting to capture a memorable summer moment with a true modern great.

Another iconic and influential figure in modern music, Jarvis Cocker brings his acclaimed new project JARV IS… to Flow Festival Helsinki this summer – continuing his long-standing reputation as an artist who refuses to sit still. With decades of creativity across his own solo work and as the figurehead of Pulp, he continues to push at the boundaries of his own work – with JARV IS… serving as a thrilling electro-driven band that are a must-see come the festival this year. Freddie Gibbs brings his own cutting-edge take on modern rap and hip-hop to Flow Festival Helsinki 2022, whilst Aldous Harding is bound to showcase just why she is heralded in such high esteem – with gorgeous songwriting and spellbinding performances guaranteed when Aldous returns to Helsinki for a festival perfectly suited to celebrating the variety modern music brings. All captured within a festival whose only criteria/objective is to champion and showcase the artists at the forefront of modern music, the result is an event like no other.

Continuing its celebration of the invigorating Finnish music scene – more local names have been added today too, with Flow Festival Helsinki the perfect opportunity to savour and embrace the best in creative new artists coming out of Finland. Joining the lineup today is the likes of Antti Auio + Jouset – displaying a special show combining soulful tones on string backdrops with stunning results, pop favourite Malla, Finish Afrotrap leader Ege Zulu and the raw blends of Louie Blue – adding to a who’s who of incredible delights just waiting to be discovered in the heart of Helsinki.
