For four days in June across the Bank Holiday Jubilee weekend, Liverpool comes alive with a brand-new festival.
Taste Liverpool. Drink Bordeaux is set to be the most delicious weekend of the year, celebrating Liverpool’s food and drink heritage and its vibrant reputation as a hospitality hotspot.
The city will become an immersive food destination with takeovers by leading restauranteurs and chefs, cookery demonstrations, food inspired cultural events and many venues offering special festival menus and an array of beautiful Bordeaux wines.
Julia Huf, Project Director, says: “We are incredibly proud to have this wonderful food and drink festival across the Jubilee weekend. Liverpool has such a rich history as a port and that has shaped our gastronomic culture. There’s an abundance of incredible food here to savour and we are just one of a handful of global cities to host the Bordeaux Wine Festival which is an immense honour.”
Leading chef Paul Askew from The Art School is Patron of Taste Liverpool. Drink Bordeaux and has brought the Bordeaux Wine Festival back to Liverpool as part of the Jubilee weekend celebrations.
The festival is free to attend with ticketed experiences available for wine tasting.
Taste Liverpool. Drink Bordeaux takes place across Liverpool from Thursday 2nd – Sunday 5th June. For info go to: https://www.visitliverpool.com/tasteliverpool
