DESIRE MAREA announces UK and European live dates
South Africa-based artist Desire Marea has announced details of a short tour throughout June with the full-band incarnation of the project, entitled Desire Marea Nezimakade. The dates include Porto, Lisbon, Brussels and Paris plus two festivals – the first at the invitation of Grace Jones for her Meltdown Festival at the Southbank Centre, London, and the second at the Lost Music Festival in Fontallenato.

The June dates are the first for the Kwazulu-natal born, multi-disciplinary artist since his performance at Rewire Festival and a sold out headline debut in Berlin 2021. Those shows followed the release of his debut solo album, Desire – Rough Trade’s Album of the Month and BBC 6Music’s Album of the Day – on Mute.
Desire Marea (born Buyani Duma) is currently working on the follow up album, news to follow later this year.
