ROCK EN SEINE announce 19 final acts for 2024 edition
Paris’ most anticipated music festival Rock en Seine returns this summer from August 21 to 25 at Domaine national de Saint-Cloud. In this stunning setting on the edges of Paris, five stages will host an unmissable lineup across 5 days and today we are excited to announce 19 new acts across the billings. Lana Del Rey will open Rock en Seine on Wednesday 21 August with an incredibly special concert, her only performance in France for the entire summer of 2024. The week will follow with headline slots from Fred again.., LCD Soundsystem, Måneskin, Massive Attack, PJ Harvey, The Offspring and The Smile.
Rock en Seine are very pleased to welcome back some iconic names to this year’s festival; American trio Gossip make a legendary return after a decade-long hiatus, while the heroines of the riot grrrl movement Sleater-Kinney return to France having just released their eleventh studio album Little Rope this year. Indie heavyweights Kasabian and anthemic punk rockers Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes also join the enigmatic British legend Baxter Dury as part of the latest cohort from the UK. Legendary Flemish electro brothers 2ManyDJs have also been confirmed since Rock en Seine announced their other project Soulwax earlier this year.
These icons are accompanied by more contemporary names who have, in some way or another, carved a new path in their respective musical fields. Joining us at Rock en Seine will be the legendary French DJ/producer Canblaster, a production wizard admired by all who matter. Rapper Loyle Carner and electro-soul multi-instrumentalist Sampha will both be coming from London to grace the Rock en Seine stage. Teezo Touchdown will represent the Texan rap scene, while Parisian psych-wizards The Psychotic Monks, post-punk trailblazers Astéréotypie, West Coast rebels Destroy Boys and indie-rockers Dead Poet Society will bring their raw energy to Paris.
Rock en Seine continues to be at the forefront of discovering new talent across the musical sphere and around the globe. Joining the lineup are London-based rising stars The Last Dinner Party, soul crooner Elmiene, whose stunning debut EP released in January has already earned critical acclaim, the French-based artist Lucky Love and his emotionally charged ballads, the Nantes-based collective Soyuuz, and the New York-based female disco-soul trio Say She She.
This huge lineup announcement is only a portion of what will be seen at Rock en Seine this summer. Already announced include artists such as London dance-funk duo Jungle, BBC Introducing Artist of the Year Olivia Dean, eternal dance floor queen Róisín Murphy and multi-disciplinary French artist Zaho de Sagazan, not to mention the huge headlining slots.
The festival’s diverse and dynamic attitude towards music ensures that there will never be a dull moment. Expect to hear sounds celebrating all corners of the musical landscape this summer at Rock en Seine.
In line with the values at the core of Rock en Seine, the festivities will continue through the ACT! Zone where numerous talks will be held to focus on the festival’s sustainability commitments. Plus through the Mini Rock activities, the Club Avant Seine and Première Seine programs, young and emerging talents will once again benefit from Rock en Seine’s support.
This 20th edition also coincides with a globally significant and historic event in the summer of 2024: the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris and Rock en Seine is delighted to play a part in the Cultural Olympiad for Paris 2024.
This 2024 edition of Rock en Seine will be the venue for a dazzling, dynamic, and historic encounter between two flames: the universal flame of the Olympics and the flame of enthusiasm that the festival has carried for many years. The connections between art, music, and sports, as well as their common values such as excellence, self-improvement, inclusion, diversity, and universalism, will be celebrated. Festival goers will be at the heart of this emulation, and can look forward to the surprises along the way!
