Following on from the review of the 100 Documentary Films book, this one obviously has its focus on the UK only.
It’s easy to follow then that this book will contain many politically and socially charged themes – whether it is on coal miners or the leaders of our country with plenty room for education, drugs and alcohol and of course the royal family.
The majority of the mix are not feature length films – in fact some are even under 10 minutes. It is also worth noting that most of these films are aimed at current affairs and are only historic perhaps because of the time they were made.
This collection is really aimed at the 20th century UK buff who wants to get up on news events of the past 100 years.
