FrightFest 2013 Day 1

And so we are back round once again for Frightfest.  Filmwerk is also celebrating its birthday, although we are still toddlers (at three) compared to the behemoth that has become the Film4FrightFest at the Empire on Leicester Square, London.

The opening evening of course started in the afternoon for the press as we got to get on site early to pick up out passes and find out who would be attending the media wall for interviewers and photographers at the ready. We managed to conduct a few audio interviews that you can catch up on this weekend on the website or via out iTunes link.

But once the preliminary admin was out the way we went off to the Captain’s Cabin to say hello a pre-arranged mob of regulars and newbies! As per usual you can expect photo evidence of all the talent and the fans on a separate post! Yes for each day as well!

But what about the films? Well as ever there were three films to open the festival on the main screen at the Empire, The opening film was The Dead II: India. Yes, despite the first film by the Ford brothers almost killing them and the crew, they decided to ship the franchise off to India for more torment. Chucky returned in the sixth Child’s Play film of the series Curse of Chucky, and then the night rounded off with home invasion thriller You’re Next.
