Surf/music festival Boardmasters is returning this summer, and to go alongside another stellar line-up, it’s re-booting its very own app.
The app, which was used by 31,000 people last summer (62% of attendees), will feature fantastic, exclusive content of backstage goings-on and essential personalisation to help users get about with ease and get involved.
Stage splits and timings will feature in an easily-personalised line-up feature, while important updates and exclusive backstage insights and reviews will feature in the news feed.
With headline slots from Catfish & The Bottlemen, George Ezra, and the newly-announced Lily Allen, the surf fest is set to be a blinder, and the official app will be there to enhance things even further.
During the festival (9-12 August), the handy map will make sure there’s no need for carrying any pesky paper sheets across the site. Plus, your personalised line-up will ensure you don’t miss anything crucial.
Scared you’ll miss Years & Years? Want to make absolutely sure you’re on time to see the entire Raye set? By ‘favouriting’ the events you just can’t bear to miss, you’ll get a reminder 15 minutes before they get going.
The app will also be the first place to hear about important updates during the course of the event.
Exclusive content will be posted regularly in the application so that users can get a coveted inside look at the festival’s backstage. Alongside Second Screen editorial partners Gigwise, users can again enjoy reviews, exclusive photography and artist interviews during downtime or their post-festival blues.
Created in collaboration with London-based events app company Second Screen – who provide apps for several artists and events nationally and worldwide – the app will carry the same slick branding as the on-site design.
This year, the app is expected to be downloaded by at least 60% of attendees.
