JUSTICE CONFIRMED TO HEADLINE WILDERNESS

Wilderness Festival are thrilled to announce JUSTICE as their fourth headline addition to this year’s already landmark music programme.

JUSTICE will be joining the bill to perform live and headline Wilderness’ Main Stage (supported by BBC Music) in August ahead of the release of their highly anticipated new album titled, ‘Woman Worldwide’ slated for a summer release.

One of France’s most vital musical exports, they are set to bring their own imitable fusion of crunching slick electro, techno, pop, R&B, rock, funk and disco to Wilderness. French house duo, Justice have consistently pushed the parameters of sonic innovation and stormed the globe’s biggest stages with their bombastic and visceral performances. At last year’s Glastonbury, their set was hailed as one of the weekend’s best, and there is no party quite like a Justice party. This show will not disappoint.

Alongside a plethora of the best artists and musicians the globe has to offer Justice sit alongside Chic Ft. Nile Rogers, Bastille, Jon Hopkins, Kamasi Washington, Baxter Dury and !!! (Chk Chk Chk) – diverse top-quality talent from a broad spectrum of the arts and music world cementing Wilderness’ position at the forefront of not-to-be missed festival experiences. Joining these headliners are the crème de la crème of up-and-coming stars, from IAMDDB, Mahalia, Joy Crookes, Dan Owen and Confidence Man – all with critically acclaimed new material. They join top quality DJ talent on the bill, from the legendary Groove Armada, playing The Valley alongside the hot property Peggy Gou and George Fitzgerald.

Wilderness also announces its music stages in all their glory with fresh acts added and all the bands now revealed. From the world-class, big hitters topping the Main Stage to the up-and-coming treasures gracing the eclectic corners of the intimate venues around the site. Line-up in full below.

In addition to Justice, added to the programme are Kitty, Daisy & Lewis in a rare festival performance on brand new rock n’ roll stage The Hereafter. And across 9 music stages there are world flavours, big brass bands, travelling folk troubadours and jazz ensembles aplenty at The Travelling Barn. This year, there are new music and arts venues, as Wilderness reveals its wild side, with raucous music programmed and hidden corners concealed within the new haunt The Be All & End Hall.

The Atrium, supported by Time Out, is now complete too. The second stage of Wilderness is a compendium of high arts with world-class music, dance and performance from the likes of Sadler’s Wells, Rambert and Ronnie Scott’s, fused with a certain fondness for mass participation… Brand new for this year are ‘The Pee Wee Ellis Funk Assembly’, celebrating ‘50 years of cold sweat’ presented by Ronnie Scott’s. Also new to the eclectic talent mix are Afriquoi, bringing with them an uplifting fusion of African music and live electronics. For the Sunday night Finale comes the latest in a long line of Wilderness inventions: The Wilderness Orchestra presents ‘God’s Jukebox’, which invites the Wilderness audience to apply to have their favourite song performed by the Orchestra and personally dedicated to them.

Wilderness prides itself on the eclectic musical line-up, inviting legends and fresh talent to share a stage, always with an eye for quality, one-off experiences and a bit of experimentation. Wilderness is delighted to add the French duo Justice to an already formidable party line-up, with names from the arts in a world-class music, arts, theatre, comedy, food and talks programme.
