PARTY AT THE RACES ADDS EVEN MORE TALENT TO ITS DEBUT EVENT LINEUP

Party At The Races, Brighton’s newest music event, is thrilled to add another wave of in-demand DJ talent and live acts to its debut lineup, taking place on Saturday 1 October at the historic Brighton Racecourse. Joining the likes of Basement Jaxx, Youngr, Felon, Camelphat and Rhythm Masters are chart topper Jonas Blue, Space Ibiza resident Jason Bye, house and bass duo Apexape, party-starters Shapes, hit maker Anton Powers, and more of Brighton’s hottest breaking acts, White Room, and Joe Corbin. Across multiple stages hosting by leading brands, Connected, Space Ibiza, Brighton Source, and Café Mambo, Party At The Races is a music extravaganza with all the fun of a day out at the races, complete with a vintage funfair and virtual horse racing! Imagine this: hundreds of revellers adorned in bright jockey outfits and their race gear fineries; the sound of thundering hooves and booming basslines; delicious cocktails and gourmet food; and the exceptional views of Brighton’s unparalleled coastline – that’s Party At The Races. From 1pm until 3am, party goers can dance all day and all night, at the Main Stage, the Underground Grandstand Stage hosted, by day, by Connected and at night by Space Ibiza, at the Best of Brighton live stage hosted by Brighton Source, or by upgrading to a VIP ticket, in the Jockey Club with Café Mambo, with private executive boxes, VIP hostesses and prime views of the Main Stage. At Party At The Races, expect nothing less than state-of-the-art production and the very best sounds in electronic and live music.

Leading the latest lineup announcement is 7-times platinum selling artist Jonas Blue, who will appear on the Main Stage, bringing his worldwide smash hits, Fast Car and Perfect Strangers. Benny Kane & Dr Specs aka Apexape, also join. The Kiss FM resident DJs boast a string of big tunes in their armoury, most recently their version of Joy and Pain, spun by Radio 1 don, Pete Tong. Bringing technical wizardry and relentless energy to the Main Stage are mash-up DJ duo, Shapes, with their live, four-deck set-up with serious pace and precision.

Party At The Races also welcomes Ibiza stalwart, Jason Bye, to the Space Ibiza stage for what is the final date of the club’s international farewell tour. Resident at Space’s legendary in-house event ‘We Love’ for over a decade, there’s no one better than Bye to bring a touch of Ibiza magic to Brighton with a set of garage-tinged, house beats.

More house beats come from the well-respected DJ / Producer Anton Powers over at the Café Mambo VIP Stage. Best known for his longstanding residency on Juice FM and as part of remix hit factory, Cahill, it was Anton’s track Alone No More that bagged him four chart number 1s and an impressive number 4 on the official UK Top 40 last year.

Crossing genres into indie-pop, groovy rhythms and dirty blues on the Brighton Source Stage are some of Brighton’s most exciting ‘one to watch’ acts. The new additions include White Room, whose critically acclaimed debut EP Fizzy Liquid earned them a fan in Paul Weller, and the brilliant modern blues singer / guitarist Joe Corbin, who won over an army of fans at this year’s Glastonbury.

Before the main event, on Saturday 1st October, Party At The Races will throw the ultimate pre-party, ‘Party In A Pod’, held in the brand new British Airways i360 at the historic pier. 190 lucky clubbers will get to party at an incredible 450 feet above sea level in the world’s tallest moving observation tower, taking in 360 degree views of Brighton to a soundtrack provided by a special guest DJ.
