Bill Ryder-Jones and Rob Harvey Speak Out About Mental Health

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week 2016, Noisey are running series of short films about music and mental health.

In the first of their short films about music and mental health, Bill Ryder-Jones from The Coral and Rob Harvey from The Music both speak out about their experiences that affected them during their rise to fame in the 2000’s.

Both had strikingly similar experiences of suffering from mental health problems at the peak of their careers, and in this short film they explain how the music industry both exacerbated their problems and helped them overcome their struggle.

If you are concerned about the mental health of you or someone you know, talk to Mind on 0300 123 3393 or at their website: http://www.mind.org.uk/. And if you would like to know more about the work of Help Musicians UK, you can visit them here: https://www.helpmusicians.org.uk/.

This film is part of The Noisey Guide to Music and Mental Health.
