NOS Primavera Sound
The Porto-based bash has released the full line-up for its fifth edition. After announcing french duo Air, authors of remarkable works such as “Moon Safari” and the original soundtrack to “The Virgin Suicides”, the festival reveals the names that will play at the Parque da Cidade in Porto, between June 9th and 11th.
Among the confirmed acts are such stand-outs as rock icon PJ Harvey, Sigur Rós, Brian Wilson in a special performance of “Pet Sounds”, Beach House, Animal Collective, Explosions In The Sky, German supergroup Moderat, Deerhunter, Ty Segall and the Muggers and Julia Holter.
As usual, the festival also saves some room for acts born in the nineties. The return to the stage of mythical hardcore band hardcore Drive Like Jehu, Dinosaur Jr., the instrumental and untethered rock of Tortoise, Mudhoney’s electrical discharge, the noise metal of the legendary Unsane, alt rock pioneers Loop or the live “life insurance “ policy that is Shellac are among the highlights of NOS Primavera Sound 2016.

Best Kept Secret
The Netherland’s music festival Best Kept Secret, have revealed a further 38 names to play alongside the already announced Beck, Editors, Wilco, Beach House and Caribou. The fourth edition of the festival will see 100 acts take to the beautiful lakeside arena on 17th, 18th and 19th June.
Jamie xx, Dinosaur JR, Band of Horses, Low, Wolf Parade, Sleaford Mods Moon Duo, Rat Boy and Blossoms are some of the 38 new names for Best Kept Secret.
Besides these names come the addition of: The Slow Show, Ezra Furman, Wild Nothing, Koreless, BADBADNOTGOOD, Oneohtrix Point Never, Beach House, Beaty Heart, C Duncan, Bombino, Ho99o9, Israel Nash, Julien Baker, Petite Meller, Sevdaliza, Ryley Walker, Danny L Harle, Slow Magic Glass Animals, The Japanese House, VANT, HONNE, Samm Henshaw, Sevn Alias, Alice On The roof and Indian Askin.

Download Festival have revealed 36 new acts including Jane’s Addiction, NOFX, Sixx:A.M., Alien Ant Farm and Amon Amarth. In other news, this year’s event will honour a true rock ‘n’ roll icon who inspired so many others on the bill, Lemmy Kilmister. The Main Stage will be named ‘The Lemmy Stage’ in tribute to a much loved and missed legend.
