Astronaut Tim Peake Gives Scottish Rockers Gun The Thumbs Up

It’s a good week for Scottish rockers Gun who’ve been given the green light by the very first British human being to walk in space.

Major Tim Peake – currently orbiting the world at 27,000 km/h above us – has given their cover version of ‘Word Up’ his official seal of approval.

@astro_timpeake tweeted from the International Space Station to his 418,000 followers; “That was Word Up, originally by @CameoNation but I prefer the @gunofficialuk version. Two winners for this one” as his latest #spacerocks hashtag.

Gun frontman Dante Gizzi responded: “Nice wee tweet from Tim Peake earlier today. ‪#‎tasteinspace .X”

Gun’s latest album – ‘Frantic’ – is available now on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify. We’re not sure if you can stream it in space.
