Machine Head’s Robb Flynn Weighs In On Phil Anselmo Racism Debate
Machine Head front man Robb Flynn has weighed in on the Phil Anselmo racism controversy in a to-camera piece on the band’s official Youtube channel.
In a video with the subheading “Phil Anselmo screams “wh**e p**er”, and the silence is deafening…” the outspoken front man calls out the Pantera front man over his behaviour and discusses the metal community’s attitude to racism.
“If this was Justin Bieber heads would roll” says Flynn in the clip “I’m not going to go into the history of racism…I’m talking about in our lifetime. No white person has been oppressed by black people. Quite the contrary. And it’s not okay to scream out white power and then brush it off as fucking joke about white whine.”
