London based supergroup Orphan Colours feature former members of Noah & The Whale, Ahab and Danny & The Champions of the World, and now the Americana all stars have announced they will release their debut EP on February 26th 2016.
Called ‘High Hopes’ it’s the sound of a band embracing their classic songwriting heroes. and you can check out lead single ‘Won’t Let You Down’ below. The band will be touring Europe in February, and the UK March 2016 – you can see those dates after the jump.
Formed after the indefinite hiatus of UK alt country outfit Ahab in 2013, along with Ahab originator Dave Burn, songwriter Steven Llewellyn recruited Danny & The Champions of The World’s Steve Brooks on drums, along with close friend Graham Knight on bass. The final piece of the puzzle came when a friend of Brookes introduced former Noah & The Whale guitarist Fred Abbott to Llewellyn.
