The Music Venue Trust was created in January 2014 to protect grassroots Live Music Venues in the UK. We campaign to protect, secure and improve UK music venues so that musicians and audiences can enjoy great places to perform and watch live music.
Right now, thousands of musicians in hundreds of great music venues across the UK have set up their equipment, finished their sound checks and they are ready to play. For you.
The UK has some of the best live music venues in the world. Compared to the theatre or the cinema, going to see some live music is still incredibly cheap. You might see something that you love. You could meet someone who changes your life. You’ll definitely have more fun than sitting around in your house.
On December 12th at 8pm you may find Twitter, Facebook and even Tumblr in a frenzy with almost a million people will be reached with one message: “Why don’t you just switch off the television set and go and see some fantastic live music instead?“
