It’s just a little too early to be starting with the Ones To Watch for 2016 tagline, but we wanted to introduce you to British pop newcomer Jayelldee.
She’s been writing with Nick Hodgson and was one-time protege of grime pioneer and bit-of-a-naughty-lad Wiley, so the force is strong in this one. You can check out the snappy electro of new single ‘Kill Ur Cool’ in full below.
Previously lending her vocals to Wiley track ‘Lickin’ Down The Spot’ and appearing on the last Sub Focus album, she’s finally stepping out on her own this year.
Interestingly, this track started out as a piano ballad, but with the help of producer Nick Hodgson it was transformed into something very different. Wonder if that piano version is still knocking about anywhere? We’d definitely be interested in hearing it stripped back.
