Canterbury’s Broken Hands have unveiled details of a UK tour, starting October 28th to support the release of their forthcoming debut album Turbulence. The space-rock band will play six dates starting at Manchester’s Soup Kitchen and ending in London’s Oslo. Tickets for all dates are available now from www.brokenhands.co.uk.
Broken Hands have just finished a series of London residency gigs, which saw them bring their intense and mesmeric live show to three packed out dates at Power Lunches. A live experience in the truest sense, Broken Hands invited the audience into their world for a series of specially curated shows the band labelled JETPOWEREDLUNCHES. The band recently performed at Hyde Park alongside Blur, having previously shared stages with the likes of Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones and Band of Skulls.
Last week, Broken Hands unveiled the video to current single ‘Meteor’, which you can watch now:
The track has had incredible support from BBC Radio 1, XFM and BBC Radio 6Music – with the track winning Steve Lamacq’s Rebel Playlist, earning it a play on every daytime BBC Radio 6Music show for the next week.
Broken Hands debut album Turbulence was produced by Tom Dalgety (Royal Blood, The Maccabees, Turbowolf) and is released via So Recordings on 9th October 2015. Combining the crunchy riffage of Black Sabbath, the cosmic hedonism of Primal Scream and an unbridled energy which is completely their own, Turbulence is a fully realised vision from one of Britain’s most exciting young bands.
