OK – before anyone thinks we’ve gone completely insane, have a listen to this new track from Zayn Malik.
He might have ditched the biggest boy band in the world to go solo with this new material, but it’s easy to see why the ‘I Won’t Mind’ singer might have been feeling at odds with his position in One Direction.
This new track is a delicate and thoughtful offering with some incredible lofi production courtesy of Naughty Boy and shares a boatload of similarities with hot topics SOAK, Ady Suleiman and Jack Garratt. The difference? None of them were in One Direction.
Look past the bluster and the pop blinkers and you might just find a hidden gem in plain view here…
