Following a sterling performance supporting global superstar, Ed Sheeran for his Teenage Cancer Trust show earlier this year, two-time BRIT Award winners Busted have announced a return to the Royal Albert Hall for their very own headline set on 17th October.
Speaking about the news, Matt Willis said, “We are very excited to announce a special show at the Royal Albert Hall. It will be no ordinary Busted gig, we’ll have a few surprises in store for our fans to make it a night to remember!”
The past twelve months have been colossal for Matt, James and Charlie. Following a twelve-year hiatus, the three-piece stunned fans with an eighteen date sold out ‘Pigs Can Fly’ arena tour and the release of an album packed with brand new material. Recorded in LA, and aptly titled Night Driver, the release revealed a mature and sonically rich sound, with lead single – the disco-pop ‘On What You’re On ’ - surpassing a whopping five million streams.
Eager to introduce the new music to fans on the live circuit, the band embarked on a sold-out headline tour across the UK, Europe and Japan earlier this year and have even earned themselves their first ever Glastonbury Festival slot on Saturday at the Avalon Stage. Fans will also be able to catch the band at an array of other festivals including AmpRocks Festival, Chris Evans’ Carfest and main stage at V Festival ahead of their Royal Albert Hall show in October.
