Little Mix US Album Success Sees Ticket Demand Double

Demand for tickets to see Little Mix has doubled after their debut album reached number 4 in the US chart – the highest position ever by a UK girl group, according to the ticket marketplace Seatwave.

The X Factor group is winning fans across the pond after beating the Spice Girls who only reached number 6 in 1997 with their debut album Spice. However, the Spice Girls still trump Little Mix when it comes to ticket sales – Posh, Baby and co have still outsold Little Mix by five-to-one, according to Seatwave.

Louise Mullock, spokesperson for Seatwave, commented: “Little Mix are following in the footsteps of One Direction in terms of success stateside. Off the back of their album success, demand for shows featuring them has rocketed. It may only be a matter of time before they top the Spice Girls in terms of ticket sales. It seems that the British Invasion 2.0 is well under way!”
