Radio Soulwax Presents: Dave

Curzon Cinemas brings you a special screening of Dave, the 23rd hour of a total of 24 themed albums by Radio Soulwax, each containing a one hour mix of exclusive and uniquely created audio and visual content. Dave is a tribute to David Bowie’s career. Stylistically, Dave is a follow up to “Into the Vortex”, the first film Reygaert made for Radio Soulwax. During this walk through one of the last album sleeve factories, we see album cover after album cover come to life, all in life size version.

We are pleased to welcome director Wim Reygaert and David & Stephen Dewaele aka 2 Many DJs / Soulwax for a post-screening discussion hosted by George Lamb. 


In this film, we follow Dave (who looks a lot like David Bowie) through a fever dream about his life and career. Reality gets mixed up with stories and elements from his music and lyrics in a way that is only possible in films. In the dream, Dave is a private eye who can travel through time. His mission is to track down and exterminate all other versions of himself. If he fails, the world as he knows it will cease to exist. A Caviar production for Radio Soulwax, featuring Belgium top-model Hannelore Knuts in the leading role.

The Radio Soulwax App has received massive critical acclaim since its launch in 2011 and their purpose built app has been downloaded over 500, 000 times. On top of that link has now received in excess of 25 million hits since it launched, pioneering a new path for dance music to reach the masses. They continue to sell out Arenas all over the world with their DJ sets & live shows and will once again bring their annual festive Soulwaxmas event back to Brixton Academy which has become of staple of December events here in London.
