VIDEO: Charli XCX – You're The One

Charli XCX (AKA Herefordshire born Charli Aitchison) is pleased to unveil the new video for her debut single on Asylum Records – ‘You’re the One’ – set for release on 13 August. Directed by Dawn Shadforth (Florence + The Machine, Scissor Sisters, Björk), the video takes influences from Charli’s stage visuals and her early performances in the East London rave scene.

Charli commented, “It was amazing working on the video for ‘You're The One’ with Dawn Shadforth, who is such a legend. I'd been looking loads at Pierre et Gille photos and really wanted to create hyper real, super luscious, heavenly moments. I think it’s a great pop video that looks cool and means something and that's just what I wanted”.

‘You’re the One’ picked up 50k plays on Soundcloud in its first week whilst her recent mixtape, Heartbreaks & Earthquakes was downloaded 7k times in the same period’; both contributing to another top 5 Hype Machine placing.

This summer you can still catch Charli at Lounge on The Farm festival and after supporting Santigold in the US, she’s also been confirmed to support Coldplay at a number of dates across North America.
