VIDEO: Natives – This Island

New Forest based rockers, Natives, release their first official single, 'This Island' (produced by John Feldmann) on July 23rd, following their recent free download of the fittingly titled 'Big Plans'.

The quintet headed to Murcia in South-Eastern Spain to film the video, as bassist Jack Fairbrother explains:

“We wanted a video that was as equally engaging due to it's visual style as it's narrative. We all love old Super 8 footage from the 70's and 80's and so brainstormed ideas from the title, This Island. We all love the nostalgic feel of old summer holiday home videos and decided it would be cool to shoot something in this style. We definitely wanted to steer clear of the “brits abroad / lads on tour” vibe and instead wanted to explore off the beaten track. Murcia is a stunning place and lent itself to the concept perfectly. The landscape is so varied that within an hour or so radius of where we were staying we could shoot in a beautiful mountainous national park, a stunning causeway across the ocean and a “hidden lake”.”
