Death In Plains are back with single “Whirlwind”, taken from their “Mustard Polo EP” released earlier this year.
“Whirlwind” will be available on Disc Error Recordings on the 31st of January 2011.
Death in Plains is the brainchild of Enrico Boccioletti from Pesaro, Italy.
Yet with a name loosely derived from SNES game Super Mario World, and a sound that joins Fuck Buttons to Jesus and Mary Chain via MGMT, he is as universal an artist as they come. Following a brilliant performance on the Experimental Circle Club stage at this year’s Offset Festival, single “Whirlwind” is a summer echo, the sound of serotonin rising; of legions of soaked T-shirted kids marching on the spot in a dancefloor half-dream: of the belief that everything might just be ok, at least until the end of the song.
Whirlwind will be released on January 31st 2011 on indie label Disc Error Recordings. The single is from the Death in Plains Mustard Polo EP, which was released in the summer last year, the single will be released as a limited edition vinyl.
