Cheri Moon – One More Crazy Summer

Cheri Moon became a worldwide sensation as the biggest pop star in the virtual world. Now she’s following a groundbreaking path to recreate this success in the real world, with her new release on AUDIOFREAKS / NEVERDIE, ‘One More Crazy Summer’. There is nothing virtual about Cheri Moon’s talent however, and she’s set to cross over in a big way, as she prepares to unleash her trademark, dancefloor driven disco/pop sound.

The ingenious project was masterminded by Jon “NEVERDIE” Jacobs, who set up Club NEVERDIE (the #1 highest grossing virtual nightclub in the world) in 2005. He spotted Cheri Moon’s talent while at the Winter Music Conference in Miami in the same year and immediately signed her up. As a key figure in the development of the virtual world, Jon funded the cost of the ‘One More Crazy Summer’ project by selling a virtual egg for $70, 000! In the virtual world, the ‘Atrox Queen Egg’ is a rare treasure and was sold exclusively online. Revenue solely from the virtual world has funded the costs of making this project come to life in the real world; a truly groundbreaking accomplishment, and a precedent for a new business model within the music industry.

Cheri Moon has already hit #1 in the DMC World Club Chart and #2 in the highly influential MW Upfront Club and Commercial Pop Charts with her previous two releases on NEVERDIE and is now aiming to crack the national charts. Hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, she grew up on a strict diet of gospel choir and pop music. Destined to sing, she is also an accomplished writer, co-writing three songs for Roisin Murphy’s latest album as well tracks for Kevin Rudolf’s album.

‘One More Crazy Summer’ shows Cheri Moon at her best; an uplifting, hedonistic, whirlwind summer romance, produced by the Hit Making UK production company, Audiofreaks. With an insanely catchy vocal hook that will stay with you long after the music has stopped, and shimmering, funky synths, it instantly gets the energy pumping, hands in the air and good vibes flowing! Cheri Moon proves she can stand shoulder to shoulder with the biggest dancefloor divas with a flawless vocal performance. The remix package on ‘One Crazy Summer’ is huge. Remix duo du jour, the Bassmonkeys bring the lead mix, and gives it a smooth but funky, vocal-led rework, whilst Swedish Audiofreak, Chris Gustafsson goes in on a moodier, bouncy electro tip. Lee Mortimer steps up to give us a cheeky, Major Lazer style, fidget house version, while leading progressive/trance duo, Loverush UK! provide a dub and stripped back, euphoric remix. Timothy Allan delivers a quality progressive house mix, whilst the chart breaking production trio, Soulshaker get on a more soulful dancefloor-driven vibe, and lastly Stereojackers drop a proggy leaning, tech-house cut. Phew!
