You Me At Six – Stay With Me

Now firmly established as one of 2010’s brightest breaking rock heroes, YOU ME AT SIX commence another rush of activity with the August 29th release of their new single ‘Stay With Me’ on Virgin Records.

Taken from their second album ‘Hold Me Down’ (which debuted at number 5 earlier this year), ‘Stay With Me’ highlights the band’s increasingly sophisticated ability to blend devastating dynamics with immediate pop-fuelled hooks and intense lyrical themes. Formats include an iTunes exclusive which features an acoustic version of ‘Stay With Me’ plus a cover of 'Starry Eyed' by Ellie Goulding (first performed at the Radio 1 Live Lounge in May).

The release of ‘Stay With Me’ heralds another exciting spell of landmark events for a band who are fast turning their cult fan base into a fully fledged mainstream proposition. First up comes the 2010 Kerrang! Awards set to be held at the end of July where YMAS are one of the major contenders at this year’s festivities with nominations for Best British Band, Best Album and Best Single (for ‘Liquid Confidence’).

YMAS will then follow the awards by making their main stage debut at this year’s Reading and Leeds festivals on August 29th and 28th respectively, joining a bill headed by regular touring companions Paramore and pop-punk kings Blink 182.

And to cap an already incredible 2010, You Me At Six will play their second nationwide tour of the year throughout December. Having previously played to a combined audience of 25,000 in March with a tour that culminated at Brixton Academy, demand for the December run has already resulted in four extra shows being added to the initial six-date tour. This time around, an audience of 40,000 people will see the band complete a tour that includes two Hammersmith Apollo shows.
