“Idols” is the third single (released December 14th) from Rush, Black Gold's debut album. Built around a lush vocal line, and anthemic chorus, this track is an uplifting and positive, a real album highlight. The video, directed by new-comer Tamara Gildengers Connolly, is a nod to 60's psychedelia and draws inspiration from The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour movie, with a little hint of more contempory acts like Panic! At The Disco, lead singer Eric Ronicks former group.
After their successful support of Neko Case in September, Black Gold return to the UK this December. Fresh from gigs with The Pixies in America, the duo play a nationwide tour, to coincide with Idols release. Calling at the following venues:
