Bright Eyes – Jejune Stars

Fans of the ever-hard working Conor Oberst and his band Bright Eyes will be happy to know that after a four year gap since the last offering the band had made for their fans, Conor Oberst and co. return with their new album ‘The People’s Key’ and in this particular article we’ll be looking primarily at their single ‘Jejune Stars’.

Now, I’m not a massive fan of Bright Eyes, I am not at all familiar with their work, but from what I have heard, this Conor Oberst has somewhat a huge catalogue of material and has become something of a poet with the work that he has produced throughout his career, and Bright Eyes has heavily profited from Oberst’s ‘rogue poetry’.

Upon listening to the track, the song has the qualities of an indie rock tune – brash, upbeat and definitely lets of steam both from the band and of-course off the listener. For someone who hasn’t really taken notice of this band, this song offers a great insight into what Bright Eyes are all about and what are capable of offering in their work.

Fans of the band will no doubt be fully satisfied with the qualities of Oberst’s work as always and new fans may find something quite exciting and enticing with Bright Eyes and their new single ‘Jejune Stars’ released on 4th July and their album ‘The People’s Key’ – which is already selling in stores.
