Pulled Apart by Horses – The Relentless Garage

The snow seems to have scuppered a fair few of the capitals gigs this week, teamed up with copious cancelled transport links & tickets going awol for fans in the days leading up to this show, Pulled Apart by Horses still soldiered on ahead for their appearance at the Garage.

Cracking out all the usual stuff, it’s fair to say if you’ve seen them once you’ve seen it all – but it doesn’t stop the live show being completely infectious … punching, screaming, guitar swinging, sweating, spit spraying & stage diving. It’s fair to say the typical PABH crowd wouldn’t mind adding urine to the bodily fluids flying off the stage… myself included, I’m down with that.

For anyone who follow the band on their social networks (twitter & facebook) you’ll be familiar with the ‘foam hand’ promotion they’ve been running (a little bit of marketing genius whereby anyone who finds a foam hand gets guest list to the show in each region) for this show, the first people to the merch stand got one for free… and there are foam hands everywhere, everyone who’s got one is excited as hell to have one on their hand and it encourages some fantastic crowd interaction throughout – foam hands permanently raised in the air.

The set finishes with the typical encore, I punched a lion in the throat is a great finisher and (singer) Tom Hudson’s crowd invasion during this leaves him swimming about in the pit for long after the set finishes.

Fantastic show… but here’s to every gap in the room which should have been filled by someone who couldn’t make it because of the damn weather… you guys can find comfort in the fact that it wont be long before PABH are back in London… and a massive shout out to PABH & supports (Gay for Johnny Depp & Young Legionnaire) for pulling out all the stops to keep the show on track
