Grimily revolving rock with a gritty femme lead, provided by Juju Sophie that speaks of repression from a significant other marks Little Fish’s latest single, ‘Sweat N’Shiver’. It continues the pushing home of their debut album ‘Baffled And Beat’.
There’s a lack of any real bite to the vocals and Juju’s efforts seem to get overtaken in the profile stakes by the trite and cyclical guitars loops on top of the mid-tempo percussion jolts.
This Oxford pair have the persona and potential profile to match the impact of duos like The Kills, but they fail to step outside the box and instil any real bite or belief into this latest jaunt. Hopefully, there is more edge to be shown by this temporarily frustrating and frustrated pair.
