Introducing: Jimmy Whispers

Stand aside Jeffrey Lewis and Daniel Johnstone, there’s a new kind of the underground lo-fi pop weirdos in town and he goes by the vaguely terrifying name of Jimmy Whispers.

As evidenced on new track ‘Keeping Me High’ – which you can stream below – Mr. Whispers (that sounds even creeper, never mind) has quite the knack for a hook and a papery vocal delivered with crushing honesty over a cacophony of bizarre instruments.

Earnestly DIY and with youth on his side, this refreshingly honest and simple songwriter could carve out quite the career if the rest of the material on his forthcoming debut album ‘Summer in Pain’ stands up to scrutiny as well as the single.
