Ones To Watch 2015: Eaves

He first caught our eyes and ears playing alongside Nick Mulvey, Boy & Bear and Slow Club, and now folk-tinged songwriter Eaves has announced his own headline tour for this May.

A heady mix of grunge, folk, acoustic and classic balladry, you can check out his latest single ‘Timber’ below – a bit of a departure from his usual material, this beautiful piano led track showcases his silky vocals and ear for an unusual melody perfectly.

Equal parts Bob Dylan, Elton John, Kurt Cobain and Nick Drake, he’s got a contemporary take on the classic songwriter’s melancholy that shines brightest on the stark finger-picked guitar beauty of ‘Alone In My Mind’.

Definitely one to keep an eye on this year.
