A plethora of exciting news this week from a varied bunch of festivals – Croatian electronica mecca The Garden Festival reveal new artists, as does the hipster magnet of ATP Iceland who look to overcome earlier embarrassment to the ATP franchise last year. Meanwhile, two of the UK’s largest and most successful indoor festivals – Takedown and Hit The Deck – reveal more artists for their respective lineups. Check out the full details below.
ATP Iceland 2015
All Tomorrow’s Parties have announced new line-up additions for the third edition of ATP Iceland festival in 2015, held at the former US Air Force base Ásbrú in Keflavík near the nation’s capital. The inimitable Iggy Pop will play his first solo shows in a decade, performing classic hits from Lust for Life and The Idiot, whilst Drive Like Jehu, who last year played their first show in almost 20 years, can claim to be one of the most seminal and influential artists of recent time and of course famously feature members of Rocket From The Crypt, Hot Snakes and Obits. Their ATP Iceland 2015 appearance will be the only place you can see them live at a European festival this summer.

The Garden Festival 2015
The Garden Festival in Croatia has just announced the complete lineup for is tenth and final anniversary. This is the festival which founded the whole now-thriving electronic music scene in the region, with the team behind it focusing on refining and curating the site in Tisno for years to come after this summer’s final chapter. New names revealed today include Eats Everything, Nightmares on Wax (live), Jackmaster, Optimo, Talaboman, Tim Sweeney, Darshan Jesrani, Gerd Janson, Paranoid London (live), PBR Streetgang, Brawther, Leon Vynehall, Mark E, Adam Shelton, Subb-An and many more. They join the already announced DJ Harvey, Bonobo, Seth Troxler, Joy Orbison, Ben UFO, Midland, Craig Richards, Greg Wilson, Crazy P (live) and Psychemagik and over 100 DJs and live artists performing.
This is the concluding season of the Adriatic odyssey which has helped shape the Croatian festival scene; this summer is set to be an incredible rousing climax over 1th – 8th July at The Garden Tisno.
Takedown Festival 2015
In the penultimate line up announcement for Takedown 2015, Milton Keynes metal kings Heart of a Coward join the bill alongside London rock mob Arcane Roots, Brighton’s post hardcore posse Black Peaks, local hardcore boys Creeper and Southampton alt rockers Circle of Reason. The very last announcement for Takedown 2015 will be incoming on Friday 23rd January, when the ‘Your Band Here’ competition ends and we find out which unsigned band has secured themselves a prime time slot on the Southampton Music Stage.
Hit The Deck Festival 2015
Hit The Deck returns for 2015 and amongst the first to be announced for the Bristol and Nottingham events are Skindred, While She Sleeps, Cancer Bats and FrnkIero AndThe Cellabration. The festivals, which take place across five venues in each city on Saturday 25th April and Sunday 26th April in Bristol and Nottingham respectively, have announced the first wave of bands confirmed to appear.
Also announced today are: A Great Big Pile Of Leaves, Allusondrugs, Ashes, As It Is, Beasts, City Of Ships, Dead!, Dead Harts, Decade, Devil Sold His Soul, The Early November, Idiom, Junius, Rolo Tomassi, The Swellers, Thomas Nicholas Band, Tim Vantol, When We Were Wolves, You Blew It and Zoax. More bands are scheduled to be announced in the coming weeks, including some very special guests.
