Aretha Franklin Bombs On New Adele Cover

Aretha Franklin, the incomparable “Queen of Soul,” is sounding a little battle-worn, studio edited and auto-tuned on this brand new cover of Adele’s monstrously good single ‘Rolling In The Deep’.

The cover is taken from Franklin’s brand new studio LP ARETHA FRANKLIN SINGS THE GREAT DIVA CLASSICS due out on October 20th on RCA Records, but it sees the legendary star sounding more than a little papery and comes with a big side-order of spangly cheese that removes any gravitas the song once had.

For a singer with a voice that’s gone done in history boasting a total of 18 Grammy Awards and having sold over 75 million records worldwide, we were expecting a little more.
