“We want to be heard by everyone, everywhere” state today’s Fresh Chops candidates Blossoms, clearly not ones for hiding their light under a bushel.
Releasing their debut single, ‘Blow’ on October 20th via The Coral’s James Skelly’s label (Skeleton Key Records) has probably not been a bad start to world domination to be fair. Their dark film-noir-meets-60’s aesthetic should be familiar to fans of The Doors and that other cheeky North West chap Miles Kane.
Of working with Skelly, the band in true humble Northerner fashion commented:
“When the man who who’s written some of the greatest guitar tunes in the last 10 years, invites you down the M62 to go to his house for tea, first you pinch yourself and then you ask, ‘do you want us to bring some dessert?’ and get down there.”
Blossoms embark on a headline tour on 14th October and Blow is released on October 20th digitally and on limited edition 7” yellow vinyl.
