Fresh Chops: Moodoïd

Moodoïd (aka French mastermind Pablo Padovani) have announced details of the release of their debut album along with new a stream of their new single ‘La Lune’.

Kevin Parker (of Tame Impala fame) produced their debut EP, which set the ball rolling on their unique brand of psychedelism, glam rock, world music and experimental pop.

Swirling, hemp-soaked scales and asymmetric time signatures drive their fluid, hypnotic soundscapes jam-packed with oriental instruments and melodies and twisted into classic pop arrangements.

Rather than pushing a square peg through a round hole, feeding analog synthesisers and off-kilter electric guitars through echo chambers creates an otherwordly atmosphere that emulates the best of psych without the mind-numbing boredom of drone.

We like.

Le Monde Möö will be released through Enterprise / Sony Red on Monday 1st September 2014.
