Fresh Chops: Kevin Abstract

Kevin Abstract lives up to his name with today’s Fresh Chops track, his latest slice of melodic hip-hop titled drugs.

In the excellently DIY video he breaks into a local supermarket with his mates – something we’ve all done at 17 right? Maybe just me.

Taken from his debut album MTV1987 which is released on July 15th, the downtempo stomp draws parallels with Frank Ocean, Chance The Rapper and the Oddfuture crew crossed with the post-dubstep vibes of James Blake.

The Texas born, Atlanta based rapper has been turning a lot of heads as of late and the creator of alternative hip-hop collective AliveSinceForever is setting off on his first solo tour this summer.
