Festival preview: FarmFest 2014

Not got the pennies for the Glastonbury’s of the festival season this year? Well look no further than FarmFest for all your muddy comedown needs.

Starting out as a party for friends, the festival has retained it’s boutique atmosphere 9 years down the line that focuses on providing music from emerging talents, cult heroes & local gems, with a program of arts, charity support and promoting local produce, all set to a beautiful Somerset vista.

Most importantly, you can get all this for £53. Yep that’s right. Fifty three English pounds – worth the ticket price alone to see headliners DJ Food, who’ve created a special ‘Children of the Sun’ mix to get you in the mood.

Children of the Sun is a 50 minute mix designed to relax to outside, lying on the grass in the warmth of the sun” they explain “Taking in jazz, beats, ambient, soul, funk, rock and electronica each track comments on the sun, summer or the great outdoors in some way!

Headliners include Public Service Broadcasting (first ever headline festival headline show), Ralph Lawson, DJ Food, The Hot 8 Brass Band, Coves and many more. There’s also going to be a host of local ciders and awesome food sourced from local farmers, so you can feel swerve the swamp and get a good feed if you’re that way inclined.
