Introducing: Swim Good

Formed in 2012, London quintet Swim Good deal in alt-rock, good vibes and fun times – their debut self-titled EP is out now on Failure By Design Records. They head out for a UK tour with friends Massmatiks this June, see below for full dates.

“It all got to a point recently where we had to reel it back in and sort of take a breather” explains bassist Curtis Sharkey “We all had various things in our professional and personal lives to sort out before we could put as much into the band as we wanted to.”

Fast forward a year or so and they were approached by Failure By Design Records, who had heard the debut EP and were eager to release it as soon as possible.

“We’d sent a few demos back and forth to one another at this point, and [I] could definitely sense everyone was getting itchy fingers…” explains guitarist Dan Twining, of the moment they finally came to their senses and got the band back on track.

“Above all, getting together again re-affirmed what Swim Good was supposed to be about in the first place; friends playing music for friends” adds Curtis “Rather than focusing on trying to be a huge band and making a living out of playing our music, we’re just enjoying the song writing and playing together live together more than ever – which I think comes across in our energy on stage.”
