Live At Leeds 2014 Line Up Reveal And Launch Party

It’s that time of year again as Live At Leeds host their eagerly anticipated launch party, held at one of the partaking venues The Wardrobe.

We’ve attended this event before and never have we seen it so packed, rammed from front to back as the enthusiastic crowd await for the first announcement of what is arguably Leeds’ most dynamic festival. With a welcomed set from up and coming singer/songwriter Harry Ridgway in the opening half an hour, the atmosphere is electric.

Celebrating its eighth year, and with 2013 boasting a complete sell out it is without a doubt that Live At Leeds 2014 will see venues across the whole of the city oozing with energy. Showcasing 200 of the freshest acts across 20 venues, this year’s festival is not to be missed.

Live At Leeds is renowned to pack out the whole Bank Holiday weekend with a series of fantastic events, including the annual Unconference and Live At Leeds football tournament.

This year the schedule is as follows:

Friday 2nd May
• The Unconference at Leeds College Of Music, with first guest speaker announced as Radio 1/BBC3 DJ Jen Long.
• Blood Red Shoes at The Cockpit*
• Melt Yourself Down at Brudenell Social Club*
• Snarky Puppy at The Wardrobe*

Saturday 3rd May
• Live at Leeds Festival

Sunday 4th May
• Kodaline at Leeds Academy*
• Neurosis at Leeds Met University*

Monday 5th May
• The Unconference Extra with ELfm (aimed at under 19s) – free entry at Goals Soccer Centre
• Live At Leeds Football Tournament

*please note that these shows are separate events and Live At Leeds festival wristbands will not gain you access.

The announcement is one of a kind this year, seeing an array of talent blend to form an impeccable line-up. From the likes of The Stroke’s Albert Hammond Jr, current Number 1 Single holders Clean Bandit, local lads Pulled Apart By Horses, comedy music group The Mightnight Beast, not to mention up and coming talent Yuck, Nina Nesbitt and Wolf Alice all announced to perform, Live At Leeds has upped its game and is bringing us possibly their strongest line-up to date.
