Mindy Smith and Simone Felice Added To Maverick Line Up

The UK’s number one American Roots music festival announces top artists MINDY SMITH and SIMON FELICE to an already bursting 2013 line up.

MAVERICK FESTIVAL is excited to announce two top musicians to this year’s stellar lineup. Former winner of the Americana Music Association ‘New artist of The Year award’ Mindy Smith, alongside Simone Felice formerly of the acclaimed New York natives, The Felice Brothers, to the already bursting festival line up.

Mindy Smith, shot to fame with her rendition of the Dolly Parton classic Jolene. She impressed Dolly so much, that she joined her to perform the song on national TV in America. Since then Mindy’s albums have regularly reached the Billboard charts and she has won legions of fans, not least amongst the leading lights of the Nashville music community with whom she often per-forms.

Alongside his brother Ian, Simone garnered huge international praise as part of The Felice Brothers, who were given a place in the Great American Songbook. Since then, Simone’s role as key-lyricist has lent itself to other musical projects, novels and now his solo career. Players from Mum-ford & Sons and also The Felice Brothers have been a part of Simone’s recordings, which show-case his unique storytelling and lyrical abilities, cementing his place as one of the great songwriter-poets of his generation.

Set amongst the picturesque Victorian farm buildings of Easton Park Farm, in the idyllic Suffolk countryside yet less than two hours from London, the Maverick Festival celebrates the best in Americana and roots music from both sides of the Atlantic.

Taking place on 5th, 6th and 7th July, the festival presents an array of world class musical talent, comedy, dance, film & workshops and show-cases more than forty international artists across FIVE stages, indoors and out.

Featuring a spacious camp site, bell tent meadow and tipi village, and a carefully selected range of delicious food stands catering to meat-eaters and vegetarians alike with pizza, paella & pasta, Mexican chili, duck pancakes & crepes, hog-roast and hand-made hamburgers, cupcakes & gourmet milk shakes, all washed down with freshly squeezed lemonade & freshly ground coffee, local Suffolk cyder and a selection of award-winning regional ales, wine & lager.
