Palma Violets’ new single ’Step Up For The Cool Cats’ premiered last night on Radio 1 as Zane Lowe’s ‘Hottest Record In The World’ and is now available to listen to online.
The track was produced by Pulp’s Steve Mackey and is the follow-up to the Lambeth four-piece’s debut double A-side single ‘Best of Friends’ / ‘Last of the Summer Wine’, which was released last year.
‘Step Up For The Cool Cats’ is taken from Palma Violets’ debut album ’180’ which is set for release on 25th February 2013 on Rough Trade Records. ’180’ was recorded in London at RAK Studios (produced by Pulp’s Steve Mackey), and also at The Lightship (produced by Rory Attwell).
The band will be touring the UK in February as part of the NME Awards tour alongside Django Django, Miles Kane and Peace.
